KS3 French Course Outline

KS3 FRENCH

During your three French lessons per week in Years 7, 8 and 9 you will study the four language skills: reading, listening, speaking and writing.

All the skills are assessed throughout the year in both formal exams and in class activities.

You will study three main topics a year as well as culturally relevant extras.

Year 7 Myself, My World and My School.

Year 8 Hobbies, Lifestyle and Holidays.

In Year 9 all students are entered for the AQA FCSE French qualification which is equivalent to roughly half a GCSE. This course is assessed throughout the year in both formal exams and in class activities. Students in year nine study three topics.

French and Francophone culture, The world of work and Food and Drink.
