There are three written exam papers – all taken at the end of the two year study.

Qualifications will be graded 9 to 1 with 9 being the highest grade and 1 the lowest.

We study this course over two years. Knowledge and understanding of over 1,000 years of history is required, focussing on 4 key topics:

Paper 1: Thematic study and historical environment

Option 10: Crime and punishment in Britain c1000 – present

and Whitechapel, c1870 – 1900: crime, policing and the inner city
