John Ruskin School is an 11-16 school set in the heart of the Lake District. CELEBRATES 50 YEARS OF EDUCATION AT THE HEART OF THE COMMUNITY

John Ruskin School opened just after the Easter holidays in 1960, receiving its first students.  It was opened officially in the September of 1960 by Lady Peel. School will be celebrating this anniversary with a family day on 26th June 2010. In the evening there will be an over 18s disco with the theme of dancing through the decades.  Fancy dress is optional.
